My latest complete plushie. And how many of you actually recognise him? I'd say few to none.
He's designed after the "ottsel" Daxter from the "Jak and Daxter" game series. (An ottsel is supposed to be a cross between an otter and a weasel.) But he probably looks more like a kangaroo-rabbit. It's just a weird interpretation on my part, as opposed to a sewing mistake; I draw him this way too.

"Real" ottsels are supposed to have yellow accents on their bellies and stripes on their arms and such, but I tried fabric-painting the underside of his tail and it just looked horrid, so I left the rest of him the way he is.

In design complexity, this was certainly the hardest one I've done so far. There was no way to cleanly attach all the body parts, so the seams look a bit messy, which is part of the reason for the scarf. (Also, all the other 'undergrounders' have red scarves, so I thought it only fair he had one too.)
I'm very pleased with him, although I know there's a lot I could have done better. I'd like to make some more similar animals in the future. (But geez he took forever!)

Materials: T-shirt fabric, fabric paint, pillow stuffing (the first one not to use cottonballs!)
About 60% hand-stitched

PS If anyone knows any better sewing techniques for this kind of plushie, I'd love to hear.
